Key Responsibilities:

• Provide a visible, friendly presence to deter theft, unauthorised access, and anti-social behaviour in retail settings
• Welcome and assist customers, store staff, and visitors to ensure a positive experience
• Monitor access points, carry out routine patrols, and report suspicious activities
• Respond quickly and appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and alarms
• Accurately complete incident and shift reports as required
• Maintain high professional standards and promote Red Badge Group’s values at all times
• Support compliance with health & safety and site procedures

Requirements:

• Responsible, reliable, and detail-focused approach to work
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
• Good initiative, able to work well both independently and within a team
• Flexible availability for rostered shifts, including weekdays, evenings, and weekends. You must be available for at least 1 weekend day per week. 
• Previous security or customer service experience is an advantage
• Physically able to carry out retail security duties, including standing and patrolling for extended periods
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand and minimum age of 18 years
• Hold, or be able to obtain, a current NZ COA (Certificate of Approval) security licence
• Clean criminal conviction record
• Commitment to upholding health, safety, and compliance procedures
