If you are passionate about workplace safety, committed to making a difference, and looking for a supportive and forward-thinking organisation, we would love to hear from you.
Are you a supportive Health & Safety advisor, passionate about creating safer workplaces and driving positive culture change?
About Us
We’re on an exciting journey to strengthen our safety culture and significantly reduce Lost Time Injuries (LTIs) as part of our strategic direction. With robust systems and processes already in place, we’re looking for someone who can help us take safety to the next level across our operations teams.
Our workforce is a unique blend of permanent employees and a large casual team, so adaptability and relationship-building are key to success in this role.
What you’ll do:
- Support operations teams with Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and SOPs.
- Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and risk reviews – ensuring hazards are identified and addressed.
- Support with inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions to engage frontline teams in safe practices.
- Assist with Investigations, ensuring we uncover root causes and drive corrective actions.
- Maintain compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 2015 and WorkSafe regulations.
- Manage key safety accreditations (SHE TOITKA, CM3) and improve contractor/subcontractor safety processes.
- Champion wellbeing initiatives, including fatigue management and mental health support.
- Partner with managers, clients, and staff to drive continuous safety improvement.
What you’ll bring:
- A Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health & Safety (preferred).
- +2 years’ experience in a Health & Safety Advisor role – ideally within security, events, or another high-risk frontline industry.
- Knowledge of ISO 45001, WorkSafe requirements, and industry-specific standards would be an advantage.
- Strong communication skills – able to engage with everyone from guards to executives.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset – with sharp attention to detail.
