At Red Badge Group, we’re more than security – we’re guardians of people, places, and experiences. To keep our people safe and our industry leading, we’re looking for a proactive Health & Safety Advisor to champion safety across our operations.
This is a flexible part time opportunity maintaining and enhancing the business health and safety procedures that is aligned across all operational areas. You will be responsible for implementing and overseeing health and safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and providing expert guidance to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

What you’ll do:
- Develop and embed health and safety policies and procedures tailored to the security and patrols industry.
- Support operations teams with Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and SOPs.
- Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and risk reviews – ensuring hazards are identified and addressed.
- Support with inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions to engage frontline teams in safe practices.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, uncovering root causes and driving corrective actions.
- Maintain compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 2015 and WorkSafe regulations.
- Manage key safety accreditations (SHE TOITKA, CM3) and improve contractor/subcontractor safety processes.
- Champion wellbeing initiatives, including fatigue management and mental health support.
- Partner with managers, clients, and staff to drive continuous safety improvement.
What you’ll bring:
- A Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health & Safety (preferred).
- +2 years’ experience in a Health & Safety Advisor role – ideally within security, events, or another high-risk frontline industry.
- Knowledge of ISO 45001, WorkSafe requirements, and industry-specific standards.
- Strong communication skills – able to engage with everyone from guards to executives.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset – with sharp attention to detail.
- First Aid/CPR/Mental Health First Aid (preferred).
