Site Security Supervisor - Albany

Red Badge Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a Site Supervisor for Westfield Albany. This vital role supports the delivery of safe, welcoming, and memorable environments in a large retail space. As a Site Supervisor, you will lead by example, ensuring operational excellence, team engagement, and outstanding service delivery. This role is on a Wednesday - Saturday, between the hours of approximately 7am -7pm - with some flexibility to cover mall late nights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coach security staff to ensure consistent, high-quality service
- Manage daily site security operations in line with client and company standards.
- Handle rosters, shift coverage, training and onboarding of new staff
- Respond as needed to incidents, adhering to established protocols.
- Serve as the primary contact between security and store/site management.
- Communicate effectively with retail staff, customers, contractors, and visitors.
- Ensure staff are accurately reporting and recording all workplace incidents and H&S injuries or incidents.
- Be an active part in encouraging & ensuring Red Badge staff are actively delivering a safe work environment for all staff.
Required Skills and Experience
- Previous experience (1-3 years) in a people leadership or supervisory role, ideally within security, facilities, events, retail or hospitality industries.
- Current NZ COA licence, or relevant equivalent leadership experience in the security sector.
- Proven ability to manage operations of small to medium client environments is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to build rapport with clients and teams from diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of security best practice, compliance, health and safety and risk management requirements.
- Competency with incident reporting and documentation.
- Clean criminal conviction record and physically fit for the demands of the role.
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand and a minimum age of 18 years.
- Full Clean New Zealand Drivers Licence
