Main Responsibilities – Casual Security Guard Work

• Deliver professional, friendly customer service to clients, visitors, and the public
• Monitor areas for potential risks, respond promptly to incidents, and maintain safety
• Conduct security screening, including bag checks and access control as required
• Assist with crowd direction, entry management, and venue procedures at events
• Communicate clearly and use de-escalation techniques as needed
• Complete accurate incident and shift reporting
• Represent Red Badge Group’s values at every site and event

What We’re Looking For – Security Guard Skills 

• Ability to provide a high standard of customer service and professionalism
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Flexible availability – including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
• Previous experience in security, events, hospitality, or customer service is an advantage
• Commitment to following safety, risk, and compliance procedures

Essential Requirements for Security Guard Jobs 

• Eligibility to work in New Zealand and a minimum age of 18 years
• Clean criminal conviction record
• Hold, or be able to obtain, a current NZ COA (Certificate of Approval) security licence
• Physically fit for the duties of the position
