Red Badge Group, New Zealand’s premier independent security and services provider, is searching for an experienced and dynamic individual to join our management team as a Workforce Operations Manager. Key Responsibilities – Workforce Operations Management and Team Leadership
Lead and coordinate workforce planning, rostering, and resource deployment for multiple contracts across diverse sites and regions.
Manage the end-to-end scheduling process utilising workforce management systems, balancing operational needs with staff wellbeing and compliance.
Oversee and mentor a team of workforce coordinators , empowering them to deliver high performance and positive team culture.
Ensure all shifts are allocated efficiently, covering periods of high demand, staff absences, and unplanned events.
Build strong working relationships with customers, understanding their unique needs and responding to changing requirements.
Support effective onboarding, training, and staff development processes in alignment with Red Badge Group standards.
Proactively contribute to continuous improvement of operational processes, system use, and workforce analytics.
Champion a culture of safety, compliance, and integrity across all workforce operations.
Essential Skills and Experience for Workforce Operations Success
Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in workforce planning, operations management, or team leadership, ideally within facilities, security, events, or service industries.
Demonstrated competence in using workforce management and rostering systems
Strong leadership abilities, enabling you to motivate and support diverse teams across multiple locations.
Excellent organisational skills, with the capability to manage shifting priorities and resolve last-minute staffing challenges calmly and efficiently.
Clear, professional communication skills—written and verbal—suitable for engaging with colleagues, clients, and wider stakeholders.
Sound judgement, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
Competency in reporting, compliance, and incident documentation.
Eligibility to work in New Zealand. A full, clean NZ driver’s licence is preferable.
