Key Responsibilities 

• Monitor live and recorded CCTV footage across all premises to detect, prevent, and respond to security risks.
• Identify unusual behaviours, unauthorised activity, or security incidents, escalating promptly according to established protocols.
• Operate advanced surveillance software and integrated security systems, ensuring full coverage and system uptime.
• Maintain accurate records, incident logs, and video evidence in compliance with legal, regulatory, and organisational requirements.
• Collaborate closely with on-site security teams, staff, and emergency services as required to ensure rapid, effective incident response.
• Control access and egress using electronic security systems, supporting a secure and welcoming environment for staff and customers.
• Conduct system checks and basic troubleshooting on CCTV and related technology, reporting faults to technical support where appropriate.
• Keep up to date with changes to security threats and share relevant information with the team to continuously improve site safety.

Essential Skills:

• At least 1 year experience in a CCTV role is essential. 
• Experience using Patriot and/or Gallagher CCTV Systems is advantageous
• Technical aptitude and confidence working with surveillance technology and video management systems (training provided for suitable candidates).
• Excellent communication skills, enabling effective reporting and liaison with team members across all levels and diverse backgrounds.
• High level of personal integrity, confidentiality, and professional judgement.
• Ability to remain alert and focused for extended periods and to analyse complex situations calmly.
• NZ Certificate of Approval (COA) Security Licence, or eligibility to obtain one.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skills, ensuring all incidents and activities are thoroughly documented.
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand; minimum age 18 years.
• Must be available to work flexible days including 1 weekend day/night. 
• Adaptability of being able to work day or night shifts would be advantageous. 
• Must be able to pass a credit check.
