Twelve months ago, we acquired Sub 5 Patrols, a well-established Christchurch patrol business. Since then, we’ve successfully integrated Sub 5 into the Red Badge Group — aligning systems, standards and teams. Now, we’re ready for the next phase of reinforcing our position as the premier, security solution provider delivering exceptional guarding, patrols and alarm monitoring services.
We’re looking for an ambitious South Island Guarding & Patrols Manager to lead this business into the future — someone who wants more than just “business as usual” and to join us in redefining security services in Aotearoa by consistently delivering reliability and service excellence.
The opportunity
This is a regional leadership role with a front-row seat in Red Badge's journey of developing our Christchurch operation into a South Island operation. You will be empowered with genuine scope to shape, grow and transform our established, market-leading Guarding and Patrols operations in Christchurch and working to redefine services to some of the biggest companies in Aotearoa.
We have a currently have workforce of over 100 FTE security personnel and you'll be inspiring and developing a team of 4 direct reports in our Christchurch support office. The portfolio you will inherit includes clients from a wide range of industries including: retail, government and financial services.

What you’ll be responsible for
Leading people: developing and inspiring a small, high-impact management team and setting clear expectations for performance and culture
Owning customers: acting as the senior point of contact for key clients and building trusted, long-term partnerships
Driving operations: ensuring safe, compliant, and consistent service delivery across guarding and patrols
Transforming the business: embedding new systems, processes, and ways of working
Commercial performance: owning regional P&L outcomes, improving margins, and ensuring strong financial discipline
Innovation & growth: supporting new work, improving service models, and contributing to the future direction of the business
About you
