Red Badge Group is seeking a proactive, reliable, and people-focused individual to join our Albany team as a Night Shift Retail Security Officer. Shifts will be between the hours of 1900-0700 and days will be rotating between - Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Sunday.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be part of a team of security guards during a night shift, contributing to a positive team culture and high standard of conduct

• Be a visible and approachable presence, deterring theft, unauthorised behaviour, and ensuring site safety

• Act as a point of contact for site management, customers, and staff on all after-hours security matters

• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and alarms, ensuring timely and effective escalation and reporting

• Provide accurate, detailed incident and operational reports

• Ensure the asset protection and safety of the facility

• Promote and support a culture of health, safety, and compliance with Red Badge Group and client policies

Required Skills and Experience

• Previous experience (1 or more years) within ideally security, facilities, events, retail or hospitality industries.

• Current NZ COA licence, or relevant experience in the security sector.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to build rapport with clients and teams from diverse backgrounds.

• Ability to make informed and critical decisions as needed and be able to escalate efficiently

• Knowledge of security best practice, compliance, health and safety and risk management requirements.

• Must be available to work on a 4 shifts on 3 shifts off roster which will include at least 1 weekend night.

• Competency with incident reporting and documentation.

• Clean criminal conviction record and physically fit for the demands of the role.

• Eligibility to work in New Zealand and a minimum age of 18 years.

• Full Clean New Zealand Drivers Licence
